Our Response to COVID-19

We are living through an extraordinary time with the fast spread of the Coronavirus, identified as COVID-19.  Our number one priority always is the health and safety of our employees, subcontractor partners and their families.  We want to share some of the actions we have taken to keep the entire Wisenbaker community safe while minimizing impact to our operations and yours amid this public emergency.

As we saw the COVID-19 crisis emerging, we created a COVID-19 TACTICAL RESPONSE TEAM that meets regularly to monitor developments and closely follow the guidance and advisories from the CDC, state and local governments plus public health organizations.  

We have taken and are taking additional measures to make sure our business operates as safely as possible.

  • Educating our employees and subcontractor partners about the Coronavirus.
  • Emphasizing the importance of handwashing and personal hygiene to our teams per CDC guidelines.
  • Providing supplies of gloves, soap and hand sanitizer.
  • Sharing resources and guidance from the CDC on how to avoid the illness.
  • Addressing the health and cleanliness of our offices and warehouses.
  • Leaving all office doors open to reduce contact with door handles.
  • Implementing remote working practices for those functions that can.
  • Restricting business travel and events.
  • Establishing a visitor screening process.
  • Implementing hygiene and social distancing practices at our Design Studios.
  • Implementing a virtual design appointment process through VEO Design Studio® (click to learn more).
  • Requiring employees exhibiting any symptoms to stay at home.
  • Enforcing a stringent return-to-work policy, if an employee becomes ill.

We have also activated our business continuity and pandemic preparedness plans.  Our plans contain the latest standards from industry best practices and Wisenbaker’s own experience to define requirements, such as assigning teams responsible for continuity activities and determining the appropriate resources, both physical and human, needed to manage operations during and after a business disruption event.

At this time, Wisenbaker is deemed an essential business throughout the state of Texas due to our direct support of the residential new construction sector.  Our goal is to continue to provide support and service to our homebuilder customers while keeping the health and safety of our employees and subcontractor partners a top priority.
